Refurbishing Two CBD Flagship Venues

Taylor Square located off Oxford Street, Darlinghurst near Sydney CBD is made up of two flagship venues, Kinselas and Courthouse Hotel.

Both venues were acquired in Feb 2010 and Redcape Hotel Group were keen to enhance the customer experience of the venues with an immediate injection of CAPEX design and funding, whilst developing a precinct masterplan to benefit from Sydney’s restaurant night time economy.

Empire were engaged as Project Manager and Superintendent throughout planning, design, construction and handover phases.

The Challenges

Planning and undertaking construction in a live environment and bustling CBD location posed challenges for the contractors. Refurbishment works were also carried out to the facades therefore pedestrian safety was paramount.

The Solutions

Implementing our thorough quality management and health and safety management programs assisted to deliver the project safely and within the various logistical restrictions.

The Outcomes

A contemporary refresh of the public bar, external dining FF&E including carpets and furniture. A refresh to both venues gaming amenities. Refurbishment of the judgement bar in Courthouse. Enhancements to the Kinselas Standard Bowl venue and cosmetic enhancements to the facades.

Club Central Hotel

Club Central's hotel development comprised of a new 124-room Travelodge Hotel over nine floors.

Akin Residences is an inner-city oasis of luxury residences brought to life by Tallis Property Group.

PAMA, Casuarina

PAMA Casuarina is a luxury new residential development by DeMartini Fletcher offering 47 two, three & four bedroom residences.

Whalebridge

Whalebridge is an exterior dining seafood restaurant located in the heart of Circular Quay.

Mounties, Mount Pritchard

The transformation was undertaken to strengthen the Club’s position as a leading entertainment and dining venue

Taylor Square

Taylor Square is one of the centers of Sydney's nightlife. There are many bars and nightclubs, as well as many restaurants and cafes.

Storage King Kunda Park

Empire were engaged by the client to produce a feasibility report for the extension to the existing storage facility at Storage King Kunda Park.

Cook School

The primary objective of the development is to facilitate additional teaching facilities to service existing and future student enrolments.

Cabramatta Hotel

Cabramatta Hotel transformed itself into a premier community destination through a luxury refurbishment project.
