4 First Walk Level 3 & 9 Refurbishments

The Level 3 Faculty Student Centre and Level 9 Psychology Test Library refurbishment project aligned with the Faculty of Human Sciences and the University’s strategic plan of creating an environment that inspires and drives world-changing research by providing an engaging and welcoming student centre, contemporary open-plan workspaces and offices incorporating approximately 1,500sqm.

Empire were engaged to provide project management services across planning, design, construction and handover phases.

The Challenges

The project was required to be delivered to the specific faculty milestones, decanting and accommodation needs.

The Solutions

To meet the required deadlines Empire carved out the project to be delivered across 4 key phases.

The Outcomes

The refurbishment and adaptive re-use of approximately 1,500sqm was achieved. As part of the University’s holistic approach, the building saw a full infrastructure services upgrade including a central thermal plant for its mechanical system and power supply.

Club Central - Hotel
