Hume Community Housing Refuge Port Stephens

Hume Community Housing is a Tier 1 Community Housing Provider with more than 30 years’ experience,providing social and affordable housing and specialist disability accommodation.​

​Built under the Core and Cluster program, $7.2 million is being invested in the refuge joint venture, built byHume Community Housing and delivered by Port Stephens Family and Neighbourhood Services (PSFaNS).The project will provide 6 new units in Port Stephens so that at any given time more than twelve women andchildren can access safe and secure housing. ​

​The project promotes independent living by providing self-contained accommodation around a central ‘core’facility providing support including access to services such as counselling, legal assistance, educationand employment support.
