4 First Walk Level 4 & 7 Refresh

In line with the Faculty and University’s strategic plan of creating an environment that inspires and drives world-changing research, this project focused on providing an immediate cosmetic ‘refresh’ of applied finishes to the entire floor of over 1,300 sqm including offices and lift lobby.

Empire were engaged to provide project management services across planning, design, construction and handover phases.

The Challenges

The project was required to be delivered to the specific faculty milestones, especially the Department of Psychology’s immediate accommodation needs. Budget constraints were also a challenge.

The Solutions

To meet the required acommodation needs, the project was separated into two stages. Existing loose furniture was re-used, and room configurations re-planned to meet the budget constraints.

The Outcomes

The refurbishment and adaptive re-use of approximately 1,300sqm was achieved to timelines and budget.
