Efficient Project Management In a Live Environment

The Lead Project Manager for the Goodstart Wall Carpet Removal Program managed the delivery of 84 centres across QLD, VIC, NSW, SA and TAS. 137 Goodstart centres were successfully scoped using the Smartsheet tool, which assisted in making this data collection exercise more efficient and robust.

Our engagement involved scoping and developing budget for each store, procurement, tender and assessment, manage delivery of works and defects close out, stakeholder management, smartsheet Online Forms Development & Contractor Portal, dashboard reporting.

The Challenges

Ensuring the project was delivered to a large number of centres, whilst minimising disruption to existing operations.

The Solutions

Online forms were developed on Smartsheet to capture strategic questions developed with the client which would allow for scope development as some centres were in remote areas. Contractor online forms were also set up to allow tracking of program and to be able to provide live updates to Goodstart Early Learning.

The Outcomes

We successfully lead the project team to remove existing wall carpet across the in scope centres and make good (plaster and paint) to the walls during the weekends. Centres had between 5 to 12 rooms with some centres needing two weekends to complete the project.
