Central Hotel Shellharbour is a hotel owned and managed by Redcape Hotel Group. The building was completed in 2012 and features an open plan sports bar & TAB, casual dining area, and a large outdoor balcony on the upper floor. The building can accommodate approx. 1400 patrons. The sports bar and dining area were recently refurbished to add an additional two outdoor areas for dining and the TAB area increased to cover a much larger area in the sports bar.
Empire were engaged as Project Manager and Superintendent throughout planning, design, construction and handover phases.
Construction commenced whilst the hotel was operational and involved the works being undertaken before operating hours and during normal trading hours.
Working through an operationally live environment posed challenges from minimising noise to general disruption. Our experts worked collaboratively with the client to ensure all measures were put in place to complete works during normal hours with hoarding as a sound barrier.
A modern and contemporary refurbishment of the sports bar, dining and external areas in accordance with approved DA plans.
