Brisbane City Council undertook this project to deliver a brand-new aquatic centre located in Bracken Ridge 20 km Northwest of Brisbane’s CBD to meet the demands of the growing local population.
Services provided include Project Scheduling and Independent Verification during Construction phase of a 25 metre, six-lane, heated outdoor pool with accessible ramp, kiosk, change rooms with showers and toilets, grass leisure area, shaded seating areas, cafe and administration space.
Prior to works commencing, modifications were required to an existing animal shelter which involved the reconfiguration to allow for the construction of the centre.
A number of management and stakeholder sessions were held to ensure all needs and requirements of key stakeholders were evaluated and adhered to.
The project was successfully delivered and handed over 3 weeks ahead of the contractual completion date. The facility also includes a large grass leisure area, shaded seating areas, cafe services and dedicated shared parking.
