The destination of choice

Located in Andergrove, Mackay, The Grove offers a complete package of great entertainment, restaurant quality food and service in a relaxed welcoming atmosphere. This project included a significant refurbishment of the popular community venue including expansion of the gaming room providing space for a renewed entry, bar and toilets.

Empire were engaged to provide Project Management and Superintendency Services across scoping, contractor procurement, construction and handover including all direct suppliers.

The Challenges

The refurbishment works were undertaken in an operationally live environment where we had to closely monitor noise and minimise disruption. The procurement process of a building contractor was also through an incredibly competitive tender.

The Solutions

Working closely with the contractors and the client, we ensured the project timelines were adhered to and all operational requirements.

The Outcomes

A fresh and contemporary approach to the gaming area including renewed entry, bar and amenities making the facility more inviting and useable.
