Innovative dynamic parking guidance signage solutions

As part of the University’s new campus Parking Management System (PMS) incorporating new phone/internet enabled PAYG technologies, this projects objective was to provide new dynamic parking guidance signage to integrate with the PMS. The new signage system integration provides a live data feed to users enabling them a head start to their decision in determining the ideal location for parking.

The scope of works included supply and installation of dynamic signage boards in strategic locations across campus integrated with new Parking Management System and the reticulation of enabling power and data.

Empire were engaged to provide project management services across planning, design, construction and handover phases.

The Challenges

The key challenges for the project included execution of the works within a live and operational environment whilst providing an optimum solution within a compressed program.

The Solutions

The project team and contractors worked carefully around live traffic challenges to ensure there was minimal disruption.

The Outcomes

The new signage system and integration was successfully delivered as per the project scope. Users are now able to clearly see what parking options are available and where which assists to keep the flow of traffic active.
