12 Second Way Level 4 West Wing Refurbishment

This project delivered a complete midlife refresh to approximately 900 sqm of general teaching spaces (tutorial rooms) that incorporated brand new computer labs and a specialist teaching facility and a conference and interpreting lab, to meet the accommodation growth of the Faculty of Human Sciences.

Empire were engaged to provide project management services across the planning, design, construction and handover phases.

The Challenges

The project was required to be delivered against strict timelines in order to meet the commencement of the teaching semester for 2018, without impacting operations.

The Solutions

The design solution provided a contemporary fit-out with state-of-the-art audio visual and IT systems. Empire strategically managed all contractors to ensure deliverables and key milestones were met.

The Outcomes

In addition to the contemporary fit-out, the existing corridor was given a refresh with new outdoor furniture and facilities to provide a conducive learning environment for students.
