The Tamworth site is a wheat starch and vital gluten plant factory to process wheat flour as raw material. The “Tamworth Food Ingredients Site Upgrade” is to provide a staged upgrade to the plant’s wheat and glucose processing capability to improve efficiencies, as well as installing new process plant and associated services, installed into an upgraded building facility. Upgrades were also required for the central boiler and site HV power.
The client needed to engage an external project manager to manage the existing building assessment, oversee design development and preparation of FEED, develop contract technical documentation for multiple procurement packages, undertake contractor procurement and contract administration.
The project was undertaken in close working relationship with Cargill’s Building Project Manager, as part owner of the facility.
Our scope included developed project governance structure. Consultant, specialist process engineering, equipment vendor and contractor procurement. Condition assessment. Principal’s Representative under the contract. Chaired project control group and site meetings.
Multiple procurement packages were required to effectively manage the existing building assessment. Upgrades were required to the central boiler which required specialist process engineering services.
The project was undertaken in close working relationship with Cargill’s Building Project Manager to ensure the required services were delivered.
The site was successfully upgraded to improve overall efficiencies and capabilities.
